Searching for support that’s as down-to-earth as it is professional - where you get to be unapologetically you, and that’s more than okay?

Empowerment

My passion lies in empowering clients to find their inner strength and develop healthy coping strategies. I place you at the centre of the therapeutic process and believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll work towards achieving your personal goals and enhancing your quality of life.

Support.

Support isn’t about fixing you - it’s about walking alongside you. Sometimes it’s a gentle nudge, other times it’s simply having someone truly listen. Whether life feels heavy or just a little off balance, support means having a safe space to share, explore, and find your footing again.

About Elaine

Pastel beige Ivory Professional Photogra

Hey there! I’m Elaine - counsellor, teacher, mother of three amazing girls, and someone who's always eager to learn.
Growing up as the eldest of five siblings in Sydney and then moving to Ireland at eleven, I've had the privilege of feeling deeply connected to two wonderful countries. The experience of creating a sense of "home" in both places has taught me how important it is to find your community and build your own support system, wherever life takes you.

Professionally, I’ve blended my love for psychology, education, and counselling into a career I’m so passionate about. I’ve been privileged to study in universities across Ireland, England, and Australia, which has given me a rich mix of knowledge and skills that I now use to help people just like you.

My career has taken me from classrooms in London and Western Australia, where I worked as an Assistant Deputy Principal, Special Educational Needs Coordinator, and classroom Teacher to my current role as a Counsellor, Workshop Facilitator and Program Designer. These diverse experiences have helped me design programs that truly make a difference, for both adults and children.

What I love most about my job is that it allows me to keep growing - every client and every colleague teaches me something new. And being able to offer therapy online means I get to help people no matter where they are. Whether you're at home, at work, or wherever feels safest for you, we can connect and focus on your mental health, together.

I’m so proud and very grateful to do what I do, and I can’t wait to help you find the space, support, and emotional care you deserve. Let’s get started!

'Working with Elaine has really helped me to understand myself better, recognise patterns in my choices and behaviours and help me to find confidence in myself for the first time in my life! She has helped me untangle what’s being going on in my brain and has been very patient with me from the beginning. I feel very safe in session and nothing I say is ever judged.'

Evidence-Based Counselling Support

This isn’t guesswork - its guidance grounded in proven approaches. Evidence-based counselling means the tools and techniques I use aren’t just theories, they’re supported by solid research and designed to make a real difference. It’s about blending the best of science with genuine human connection: practical strategies tailored to you, delivered with genuine warmth and compassion.

In practice, that might mean drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help untangle unhelpful thought patterns, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support you in living more fully, even alongside life’s challenges. We might use mindfulness practices to bring calm and clarity, or a compassion-focused approach to nurture self-kindness where self-criticism once stood. For many people, strength-based strategies highlight resilience that’s already within, while energy-based and mind-body connection work help restore balance between mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

The beauty of evidence-based counselling is that it’s not a one-size-fits-all formula. It’s about finding the right blend for you - combining research-backed methods with an approach that feels authentic, supportive, and sustainable. Think of it as having a trusted toolbox: each session tailored to give you the right tool, at the right time, for the life you want to build.
